Hi,
This is Eugene Uchuvatkin from HomeIncomeWorld. You connected with me because you opted for
one of my reports.
It's wrong to send messages to your audience only to pitch them something. There's no better sign to subscribers that you don't value them and only see them as a source of money.
If your emails don't provide value to your audience, you can't build trust with them. Eventually, you'll end up with a broken email list that doesn't pay off.
However, there's another thing that prevents you from making sales.
For example, if you build your list with a Lead Capture Funnel but don't show an offer on the thank you
page after people subscribe, you are leaving money on the table.
The same goes for not including offers in your email series.
You are missing out on front-end revenue that could be reinvested to
get more traffic and cover the autoresponder fee.
People often avoid making offers for these reasons:
- they don't know they can include an offer on the thank you page
- they are scared to show off too salesy
When I first started building my email list, I had no idea I could make offers on the thank you page. Mainly because I hadn't seen examples in the safelists. The people I subscribed to would just thank me for downloading their report, and some didn't show a thank you page at all.
I was also reluctant to promote anything in the follow up emails that subscribers received in sequence after subscribing. I only sent educational content without a single link in it.
By the way, I still see some people
I subscribe to doing the same thing.
However, this is the wrong tactic, and you need to eliminate it to start getting sales.
Here's how.
First of all, remember that you are in a niche where people expect you to promote something to them. They want it, and they want to invest in it. If you don't send them offers, you are doing them a disservice.
On the other hand, those
who get offended by seeing your offers are just not your people.
Don't worry about prospects unsubscribing after they see a thank you page with an offer. They will unsubscribe later anyway. You don't want to deal with them.
Go for the first group because your goal is to build a list of people who know, like and trust you. Those who want to signup to your stuff and buy more and more from you.
In my case, adding an offer to join Herculist Plus on the "Hour by Hour" thank you page, and sending it in my email sequence allowed to generate sales worth $441.
