In my last email (which was resend from 2019), I told you that we should not try to please everyone in our business. I also gave you some examples of successful people and said that we should model them. You can read that email by clicking here.
What does modeling mean?
As I said in the last email, modeling isn't mean that you should swear like Gary Vee or appear in t-shirt in your videos like Jeff Walker, unless these things are in your nature.
It is important to have your own style and message.
Your own unique way of communicating and connecting with people will attract toward you people who like what you do and how you do it. It will also repel those who do not like your message or style. That is OK. You aren't going to please everyone.
So you don't want to copy what other experts are saying or how they appear online, but you do want to model them. You don't want to be Gary Vee, but you can watch what he is doing.
How did he develop such a big following online? What strategies and tactics did he use? How can you use those same ideas and strategies to grow your brand or spread the word ... while still being YOU.
Good modeling is not just learning from what the experts say, but also watching what they are actually doing themselves. If you are listening to a marketing expert, don't just focus on the words they are saying. Also look at how they are marketing their business.
You do not need to reinvent the wheel on your path to success in area of your life. There are always people who have been there before and can help to lead the way. Maybe they will teach you. Maybe you can learn just by watching what they are doing. Either way, if you model the things they did to accomplish the results closely enough, then you will get similar results.
Please reply to this message if you have any questions. I would love to talk with you.
Thanks.
