In marketing, there is a saying that goes something like this, "don't worry about traffic because if you have a good converting offer, you will have plenty of traffic choices." It is absolutely true.
The person who wins the marketing game is not the person who can generate the cheapest traffic. The winner is the person who can afford to pay the most for traffic.
If you had a backend conversion system that could take 100 visitors and turn it into $100 in profit, then that would be better than one that turned 100 visitors into $10 in profit. That is easy to understand.
The flip side of the coin though, is that the person with the $100 profit funnel can afford to spend up to $99 on every hundred visitors and still make money. The person with the $10 funnel has to spend less than $10 for the same traffic if they want to make a profit.
This is the true best use of "free traffic" that we talk about getting from safelists or traffic exchanges. It is to test out the backend systems that turn that traffic into profits. With your free traffic, you can figure out how to improve the backend system so that you will be able to spend more on traffic in the future.
