If you want to get great results from your marketing you need to think about the timing of the actions you are taking.
Beginning marketers just promote whatever looks interesting to them.
More experienced marketers know that if you get the timing of the promotion right, it can make the difference between success and failure.
You always want to be looking for promotions where there are lots of "low hanging fruit". If you promote a compelling product that most people have not heard of, then the signups are easy.
If you are trying to promote a product that the market has already seen hundreds of times, then all the "low hanging fruit" will be already gone and every signup is harder to get. These harder to get signups require more marketing and different marketing angles to get them to signup.
This is why I like to promote new launches because the conversions are very high on the first few days after launch. I try to get my emails out immediately after the signups pages go live, before anyone else. This means that the market is hearing about it from me first, and those that are ready to signup right away will do so from my links.
If you don't pay attention to the timing of your promotion and try to get your message out there when the people are most likely to signup, then you are always going to suffer from low conversions.
Look for the new products or pages to promote and get them out before anyone else. Timing matters.
