Can you imagine a big manufacturing plant where they built cars, but that didn't have a system for managing the process of turning metal and plastic into the finished product?
It would be chaos.
Everyone would be running around trying to figure out what to do next and who should be doing which job, and where the materials were, etc.
That is the way many beginning business builders working from home run their operations.
They sit down at the computer and open up their inbox. They look through their email to figure out what they should do today. (More on this in Wednesday's email).
They don't plan their day and they don't focus on the few key activities they need to do in order to get the end result they are working for.
At the end of the day, they may have been busy, but they weren't really productive. They are no closer to having a profitable online business than they were yesterday.
Any successful system that produces reliable end results has a variety of steps that are completed to get to the end goal.
A modern manufacturing plant works as an assembly line and each step on the line has a small list of things that the operators need to do.
Your business is the same way.
What should you be focused on at this stage in your business journey?
Do you need more traffic? Do you need better lead capture offers to build your list? Do you need to be a better writer to communicate with your list?
You need to not drift through the day. Instead, know what the big project you are working on and get up focused to only work on that. Don't be distracted by shiny objects.
You can accomplish your goals if you just decide what your next goal is, determine the steps to get there and wake up each day to work on accomplishing the next step.
Let me know if you want help building your list. I am here for you.
