There are lots of ways to make money online and lots of topics to focus on. Choosing your niche is very important.
What is a niche? Your niche is the area that you want to focus on building audiences in and selling products about. "Make Money Online" is just one of the niches that you can use to build your income.
There are many more people who are earning incomes online in OTHER areas of the internet, than there are in the business opportunity and make money online space. There are people who create email list and audiences of those interested in a particular sport, like golf. There are people who make money talking about comic books, or television series.
No matter what hobby or interest you might think of, there are people on the internet making full time incomes by focusing on that niche (area of interest).
You do not have to sell people on business opportunities to make a good income online.
How do you pick a good niche?
There are four things to look for in a good niche area to make an income from. I am going to talk about the first two in this email and finish with the last two in my next email.
1. People are Irrationally Passionate
The first thing you want to look for in a good niche is that people in that niche are irrationally passionate about it. They aren't "kinda" interested in it, they are obsessed.
Golfers are obsessed about their sport. Comic book collectors are obsessed about comic books. Super fans of a sport team are irrationally passionate about their team.
This kind of passion is what will keep them coming back to your blog, YouTube channel, or keep them reading your emails.
2. People are Great in Number
A niche has to be large enough to be a viable business. You want to be able to build a big list with only a small percentage of those who are in the niche. It doesn't have to be millions of people in that niche, but it needs to be thousands of irrationally passionate people.
If a niche is not already served by people trying to build audience and create businesses, then it is probably not a good niche. You want competition.
