Ten days ago, I wrote you an email about how to sell without the hype. It was very popular, so I wanted to talk about the idea even more. If you missed the original email you can still read it by clicking here.
One of the things that many people who are trying to make money don't like to do is to sell. This applies to both online and offline money earning businesses. The reason they don't like to sell is because they associate selling with hype.
We have all had the experience of having a sales person convince us to buy a product based on how amazing they said it was, but we ended up disappointed. We don't want to be that sales person for other people to complain about.
If someone has to use a lot of hype to sell a product, then you know that one of two things is happening. Either the product is not as good as they say, or the salesperson doesn't really understand why the product is so good.
If you have a product or program that really gets results, then it probably does it because it has unique features that are different from other things that customers have tried in the past. This new "weight loss shake" has a special ingredient that no other product on the market has. That is why it works.
If you want to sell without just hyping up the product with more adjectives, then you need to explain to the prospect what makes your product different and why it works better than your competition. You have to understand the product.
In my next email, on Wednesday, I am going to share another big factor in selling without hype. Keep an eye on your inbox.
