On Sunday, I emailed you about how marketing is like working in an apple orchard. If you missed the email, you can still click on it here.
As a product has been in the market for longer and longer, the conversions drop because it is no longer new. The trick is how you keep the conversions up as long as possible.
Here are a couple of ways to revive a lagging promotion:
1. Increase the bonuses
One way to get conversions back on track is to give an extra bonus to everyone who joins. This will increase the benefits and get more people to join. A good example of this is when the Your Viral Network sites are in a launch. Usually, when conversions start to drop a bit, Matthew will give away a free solo ad to everyone who joins. It boosts traffic and conversions.
2. Change the Landing Page
Often you can increase conversions simply by making the signup page look different. People become blind to the most common pages and offers. They have seen it so many times that they don't even notice it anymore. Changing the headlines, images or background can make it look alike new offer.
If these ideas make no difference in your statistics, then it might be time to try a new offer.
