It is a subject line that is popular now. People modify it from "You must be an idiot..." to "I must be an idiot..." also adding names for variation.
I guess it is a standard subject line
that given by some program. Its purpose is to get attention, and yes, they have success in doing so.
However, this attention is like Robert Collier described in his 'Letter Book':
... some feature that will flag his [your reader's] attention and make your letter stand out from all others the moment he reads the first time.
But it won't do to yell "Fire!" That will get your attention, but ... it will be of a kind a drunken miner got in the days when the West wore guns and used them on the slightest
provocation. He stuck his head in the window of a crowded saloon and yelled "Fire!" - and everybody did!
If the owners of the program don't know these simple basics and suggest their members promote in the "drunken miner" way, then this is a red flag to consider joining this program.
Yes the subject line got attention, but what feeling did it raise? Disgust.
If you want to avoid this scenario, you need to study old books like "The Robet Collier Letter Book", "Scientific Advertising", or "The First Hundred
Million".
All what the so called gurus teach, all the "new" ways to earn money online with all their "secrets", has already been explained... but effectively forgotten.
Although the material published about a hundred
years ago, it is still actual and will be actual forever, as long as humans exist.
I understand, you might not be very interested in reading, or you simply don't have the time.
