Yesterday, I sent you an email about a simple trick to improve your conversions.
When my first coach and friend, who is the best copywriter in the safelist world, read my email, he said "Exceptional
Eugene". That's a high and rary compliment coming from him. But there's an even higher compliment that my audience gave me. This email received an open rate of 17,1% so far, because of the headline I chose: "Who are you talking to?".
Another email that I sent last Thursday received an amazing open rate of 19,4%, and the reason again was the correctly picked headline: "The hidden danger that every safelist user needs to know".
However, it's not surprising that this email was so successful. When someone tells you there’s a hidden danger lurking around,
you want to know what it is and how to avoid it. You can't ignore it because it grabs your attention and drives you crazy with curiosity.
Let's have a closer look at the parts of the headline.
The phrase “hidden danger" tells you that there is something dangerous you are not aware of. The sense of urgency forces you to open the email to learn more. You want to protect yourself at any cost.
By adding "every safelist user", I
made the headline super-targeted and appealing to my audience. Notice, I didn't say "The hidden danger that every person needs to know". That would have been too general and impersonal... and too boring to you.
Even though I don't add your first name to the headline, as some people try to do, it still is very
personal. The headline speaks directly to you and promises to reveal something valuable in the email. Something that goes along with your interests and needs.
If you are not a list builder, you are probably wondering: "Why do you tell me about headlines? What's in it for me?". Here's the answer:
"Everything!".
Even if you are not a list builder, you are a safelist marketer who regularly sends emails on traffic sites. It's still important to you to know how to grab the attention of other members.
To do this you need to speak directly to their needs and interests. As legendary marketers said: "You need to enter the conversation that already goes in your prospect's head".
The best chance to do it and to hook the reader
is through the headline. Because it is the first part of your ad that they read. In part a second, they will decide to open or delete your email. Don't miss that moment and the opportunity to stand out from the crowd.
If you want to get more signups and sales from safelists, then creating powerful headlines
is a must. It's so important for safelist ads. It's ten times more important for personal emails to your list.
Let me know if you need my help to increase your open rates and clicks. I have more ideas that have been proven to work.
Thanks.
