Hi,
This is Eugene Uchuvatkin from HomeIncomeWorld. You connected with me because you signed up to one of the traffic sites as my downline, opted in for one of my reports, or subscribed to the "Amazing Credits Giveaway".
This is the third email in a series about Dr. Cialdini's book "Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion". If you missed the first two parts of the series you can still read it by clicking here for part 1 or clicking here for part 2.
Every site is trying to give you a freebie to opt-in. This idea is based on the reciprocity principle of influence: If you do a favor for someone, they will want to do something in return.
Often it becomes a gimmick.
Dr. Cialdini explains in his book how Hari-Krishna adepts abused this principle. They were giving flowers to everyone they meet. When strangers received a flower they asked him to support their church with money. It worked well.
Over time, it stopped working. People were taught not to take flowers and avoid Krishnaits...
Because their gift was not something genuine. Strangers didn't want flowers, and adepts didn't want to benefit strangers. They wanted to get them to feel obligated.
The same thing happens online. There are so many gifts that have no value. People don't want such freebies and avoid subscribing.
The cure is to try to personalize what you give away. And this is exactly what Robert Cialdini teaches his readers. The more you can personalize what you give the more people feel that they really want to give back.
How do you personalize your gifts? Let's talk about it next Wednesday. Watch for my email.
In the meantime I recommend that you get your copy of the Influence book.
Let me know if you want my help online. I am here for you.
Thanks.
