This is Eugene Uchuvatkin from HomeIncomeWorld. You connected with me because you opted for
one of my reports.
I'm updating my ads and tracking systems, always striving to make them better.
In copywriting, this process is known as "Beating the Control" which is the primary task for copywriters. They do this by consistently testing and measuring their traffic and conversion data.
However, testing alone is not enough. You need to know advertising basics to create a marketing hypothesis first. Then only, test it and adjust it according to your audience response.
Let's examine one
hypothesis.
At first glance, banner and text ads might seem like a useless feature. They generate low traffic, and often are nothing more than just a visual noise.
Safelist users login to
the site only to send their own ads, and additioanl ads distract and annoy them, right?
Wrong!
While some ads are really annoying, others are quite opposite. They capture
attention, and people click on them, making further actions: subscribing and making a purchase.
Which banner below do you think converts better?
or
The second one. It generates the majority of clicks and signups:
Two clicks - two signups. Conversion rate is 1:1, it can't be better.
Both sites have ad features with banners that are not incentivized to click. The only incentive is the banner
itself.
By the way, did you notice there are no images, just text?
Because images barely help to sell, this is something you need to trust now. It's not my idea, it's more than a hundred
years old.
And it's a proven idea.
An entire chapter in the book "Scientific Advertising" by Claude C. Hopkins is dedicated to this. I recommend reading the book, and it's freely
accessible on the internet.
In the meantime, join sites that mentioned above and setup your banner ads.
