If your ads don't convert well, and no one listens to what you are saying, then read this email with attention. I'm going to reveal a trick which will improve your conversions.
One problem that many marketers
face is not knowing who their audience, and how to communicate with them the right way.
On safelists, you can see how people are trying to sell ballet flats to lumberjacks. Not in the literal sense, of course. I'm talking about cases when people are trying to sell products that prospect don't want to buy.
They don't need that even for free...
Because your offer mismatches with their needs.
If you want to improve your conversions, then you need to understand your audience. You need to learn how to talk directly to them. You need to know what the
things are they interested in.
What are their pain points.
What makes them get up in the nights.
What is it they are ready to spend an arm and a leg for.
It's important to create your Buyer Persona or Ideal Customer Avatar. The
different names of the same thing.
This ideal customer is excited to follow your advice. They read your message word by word and save them.
They will join
whatever program you invite to.
They desperately look for the signup page to join your list.
They are thrilled to buy your products.
Let's think about the average safelist member Avatar. This is the person who you need to talk to when you advertise on traffic sites.
I
like the saying "If you talk to everyone, you talk to no one". Notice, I never write my emails like: "Hello guys! I have some good news...". I always try to write as my message goes to a single person.
Here is an example of a safelist user Avatar:
Name: Sarah
Age: 55
Occupation: A business opportunity affiliate.
Goals: Sarah is trying to get more visitors to her business opportunity. She wants more leads and sales for it. She is not interested in someone
else’s business opportunity. She wants to promote her own.
Behaviors: Sarah is active, and regularly posts ads to promote her pages. She is reading a lot of emails and visits hundreds of sites every day. She is
blinded to most banners, texts and whole pages. She only pays attention to something new that is related to generating more traffic and improving her conversions.
Values: Sarah values honesty and follows those who she trusts. She values tactics that deliver results. She is focused on growing her business and is willing to invest time and efforts into it.
And the most important part of Sarah's Avatar is her Pain Points or Challenges:
- Sarah struggles to get traffic to her site.
- Sarah struggles to convert her traffic into signups and sales.
- Sarah is on a limited budget, because she is just started.
- Sarah is tired of clicking to earn traffic.
- Sarah is afraid to reinvest hard-earned commission, because she doesn't know who she can trust.
- Sarah has lack of knowledge and experience.
- Sarah doesn't know about the importance of building her email list.
- Sarah can't organize all the programs she joined.
- Sarah feels overwhelmed without support of like-minded people or mentor.
When you are trying to talk to Sarah, you shouldn't talk about weight loss or kilting. It also will be a mistake to invite her to your
best-opportunity-ever. As we defined above, she is interested in traffic and is looking for results.
She is not looking to creating videos...
nor for pets or gardening...
nor for marital arts and running...
All she wants is a bunch of visitors that convert into referrals and sales.
Talk about her interests, and your message will not be ignored. It will be read with attention.
Promote programs that help Sarah overcome her struggles, and she always will follow you. Because we know from her Avatar, she values results.
Creating your ideal customer avatar is a well-known strategy to better define and understand your audience.
Who is YOUR ideal customer? Take Sarah's Avatar and add your own ideas.
In the next emails we will talk about safelist users in more detail. Watch your inbox. In the meantime, try to improve the messages you are already sending by tailoring them to your ideal customer.
Thanks.
