There was an old safelist user who was one of the strongest promoters out there. He passed away a few years ago, and I still miss his presence online.
I had the privilege of calling him GrandPa, although we were not related by blood. We only had an online
friendship and never met offline.
He loved Church and lived in Texas. He called me "little Scroogie", and we often chatted via email. If it were a hundred years ago, I think we would have corresponded with ink and paper.
At the beginning, we usually competed, overtaking each other for the top promoter places in sites launches. He was the person from whom I learned the omnipesence tactic - joining every possible site and promoting in every possible way (login ads, solo ads, texts etc.).
Our
competition turned into a true friendship after a single Zoom call where I helped him with a tech issue.
His name is John Worsham and he always told me,
"NEVAH Give Up
Scroogie,"
a lesson that has stuck with me forever.
John had a "secret weapon" in our competition - a particular site where he was an upgraded member and I wasn't. It was his iron argument, the place that always gave him advantage.
That site reopened again, and in his memory, I finally upgraded.
Yesterday I started tracking its traffic and the first email to 2050 members brought 59 clicks and 2 subscribers to my email list.
Some big promoters, who also my friends, actively inviting people to the site so it will be a winner.
I'm now inviting you to join me there, in a place that feels full of John's memory and competitive spirit.
